Bulgaria, Bansko property news: 17 August 2007
Leading low cost EasyJet airline adds Bulgaria capital Sofia to it's destination list.
Those who have wondered whether Bulgaria is going to become the next "little Spain" as a property investment location may have to reconsider their hesitation. Everyone knows that airlines open new routes when strong demand is in place
EasyLet - the leading UK low cost carriers, announced officialy they will commence flights on their new route London Gatwick - Sofia , Bulgaria from 8 November 2007. With start prices of £51 return new 3 direct flights to Bulgaria will be added weekly.
This will increase competition on the direct flights market UK - Bulgaria, held until recently by 4 companies. Thus , Bansko property owners will be reaching their holiday homes and golf retreats for less than £100 return. With building regulations getting tougher in Bulgaria and in Bansko ski resort in particular, construction materials 12% price rise and strong demand for holiday properties and Sofia investment apartments all predictions for market slowdown or price flattening may be considered as unfounded.
Bulgarian economic fundamentals are strong and the growth path will be long. New carriers are expected to join in the next months.
