Bansko property news : 19 July 2007
In a move to improve street infrastructure in the booming ski resort of Bansko, the municipality announced an open tender for construction and rehabilitation of the street network in those parts of the town, where no further building will be allowed.
The tender is valued at 161000 BGN and is the first lot of Bansko municipal programme, which will lead to significant improvement of the overall look of town and seemless access to the properties of thousands new Bansko property owners.
Although construction on projects that have been already started continues, this decision coupled with the ban on further planning permissions in Bansko is a clear signal that in one to two years the present look of the town, which was portrayed as a building site full of pot holes will change completely.
New property owners in Bansko ski resort will benefit from the improved infrastructure. It is expected that final shaping of the town as the best East European ski resort will take place in no more than 2-3 years with property prices anticipated to rise in the secondary, resale market.
International real estate experts remind that Bansko Razlog ski and golf resort property prices are still 3-4 times lower than the prices in France, Italy , Austria or other European ski destinations.
