Coming to the crucial issue of prices, which pose an insurmountable barrier to smaller investors willing to put money in real estate closer to the ski slopes in France, Switzerland or Italy many will be surprised to find out that they can become owners of Bulgarian real estate near the ski runs at prices 4-7 times lower on average for comparable locations (distance from ski slopes and lifts). It is impossible to buy a studio in a ski resort elsewhere , even in Slovakia or Poland (which do not have comparable skiing infrastructure) for as little as € 30,000.
Unlike coastal property development, which may be extended significantly inshore, winter ski resorts have certain limits to grow in size.
